This picture of the Los Angeles Temple has hung in all my living rooms for the last 27 years. I appreciate all that went into this endearing gift from Ron & Jenny.
First of all, Ron bought it to bring as a wedding gift when Bill and I were first married in Bakersfield. Unfortunately, on the way to the airport, Ron and Jenny were in a car accident and never made it to the wedding.
If I remember correctly, Ron told me about the picture and encouraged me to work towards going to the Temple. When I was able to be married in the Los Angeles Temple a year later, Jenny and Ron flew out from Utah to attend and brought the picture.
I was able to go to the Los Angeles Temple last week for two full days. What a blessing to be able to visit a place filled with God’s love and peace. I felt totally rejuvenated and spiritually nourished. The eternal perspective I gained there was invaluable.
What a marvelous place!

That's a great post. Two full days at the temple sounds wonderfully peaceful. I've never been to the L.A. Temple. Mom has a picture of the Oakland temple hung at the bottom of our stairs, and Eliza often stops us to have us tell her the story about the temple and how Oma and Grandpa got married there, and it's where Heavenly Father and Jesus "live." Neat stuff. I'm hoping to go to the temple this week. I need the rejuvenation you're talking about.
Wow, nice story. 2 days at the temple sounds great. I am grateful our temple is so close--what an unexpected blessing we were given when a temple was built in Columbia, SC.
