Since September Dad has been diligently working on clearing his house out. The picture is from one of the days we were working on clearing out his garage. The hat he has on is Uncle Vern's. This was just one of the "treasures" we found that day. We also found a box of pictures and letters from Uncle Don to his mother in the early 50's when he spent a summer doing some surveying in Canada and when he was in the Army. Joan has been scanning them and sending a digital copy to family each week. It is fascinating to try to imagine what life was like way back then!
Dad is very happy to have finished clearing out his house. What an emotionally and physically exhausting job!!! Joan, Dean and I helped some. The last couple of weeks Dad's house has gotten new laminate floors in the living and dining room, new carpet in the bedrooms and new linoleum in the bathrooms. Even Dad was impressed with how it looked!
So Friday it is supposed to go on the market. There are many memories in that house but it is time to move on.

I never realized how attached I was to that house, but I guess it's like you said, it's all the memories of good times there.
Did you look at the pictures of the house on the internet (MLS)? It looks good!
