Yesterday was Mom's 89th birthday! I was glad her birthday was on a Saturday so I could spend time remembering and celebrating her. Also I planted the impatiens in the picture above; they were one of her favorite flowers. And ... Dad and I went out for frozen yogurt to celebrate her birthday. :)
I thought about what Mom had going on when she was my age. She found out she had a brain tumor when she was 55 which the doctors said was inoperable because it was too risky to do surgery. Mom was 60 when her brain tumor hemorrhaged and she was forced to have surgery which took 17 hours. It was a miracle that she survived and the 14 years she lived after that were a precious gift.
I still miss my mom and love her very much!!!
