178th General Conference

This weekend I was able to enjoy an event that has been the highlight of this part of October for the last twenty-six years of my life; The General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Being able to watch it at home on my computer makes it easier to fit the four two- hour sessions into my weekend.

I feel such love, warmth and encouragement from the talks. They help me remember what is really important in my life. Some of my favorite counsel from leaders was:

Seek to simplify life. Elder Perry

"I don’t know everything but I know enough." Elder Anderson

"Faith is not only a feeling but it is a decision." Elder Anderson

One thing to help when dealing with adversity: laugh. Elder Wirthlin

"Make the most of today; the here and now." Pres. Monson

Yesterday I enjoyed much laughter visiting with Alicia, her friend, Brian and Dad. I am very grateful for fun times with them AND General conference!

I like the quote from Elder Anderson. I feel that has been my experience with faith and with love.
