Last week I was happy to receive a letter from a former Key Middle School student. I enjoyed being updated on her life and remembering living in Maryland.
I looked at a photo album from that time period and was reminded of the beautiful seasons Alicia and I enjoyed. Spring was so beautiful at 9307 Bulls Run Parkway! All the prolific azaleas and other beautiful flowers that Bill’s mother had nurtured and cared for many years were spectacular.
Our last winter we had the opportunity to experience a blizzard that dumped about 5 feet of snow. There is nothing quite as lovely seeing the pure, white snow as one looks outside their window in the morning. Of course, since I worked at a school it meant I did not have to go to work and I could play in the snow! Digging my car and the pathways out was not quite as much fun. :)
I also looked up Key on the web and found out that it is being renovated as you can see above. It was also interesting to see who was still working there. Not one person from the special ed department I worked in and only a few regular teachers. I was glad to see one of the best teachers I worked with was there but surprised the worst teacher I ever worked with was, too. Fascinating.
