Wedding Quilt

Before Alicia and Stephen were married a year ago last August, I gave them choices of what I could buy/make them for their wedding gift. They said they wanted me to make them a quilt. I had never made a quilt before so I enrolled in a quilting class at Hancock College last summer to learn how to do it.

Recently I finally finished their quilt. I gave it to them last weekend but took pictures so I could show you. It is a big quilt so it wasn't easy to get a good picture but can get an idea from the above pictures. I really did enjoy making the quilt. I love to sew and look forward to doing it more when I retire some day way in the future. :)

Last weekend I also had the opportunity to babysit A & S's dog, Thomas. He is very attached to Alicia but most of the time I will do. He is a very loving dog. He and Shinta are getting to be pretty good buddies.

This weekend Joan & Dean are down to help Dad clear out his house. It looked like they had made much progress when I went over yesterday. I know Dad will be glad to get it over with and sell his house.
