November started off with my sister, Joan, and her husband, Dean, coming down to visit. I hadn't seen them since February so I was very excited to get together with them. Joan is feeling better so that was the best part!

A couple days after that my brother, Ron, flew out from South Carolina. Dad and I were very happy to spend time with him, also.

The next visitor was Abby (Ron's youngest daughter) from BYU. Although she was only here a few days, we were able to eat Indian food in SLO, participate in a Turkey Trot at Pismo beach, cook Thanksgiving dinner (Alicia helped with several dishes), spend time at the beach in Dad's motor home, see
The Wizard of Oz performed at the local theater, and meet family for breakfast.

| Dick and I playing the ukelele |
Just a few days ago Dad and I stopped by his cousin, Dick's house. We learned that his wife, Georgia and he have been enjoying playing the ukelele & singing with other retired friends. They even taught me three cords on the ukelele! I am very excited that there is an instrument I can play and sing with when I have more time.
Dick said it was Dad who got him started playing the ukelele. Dad brought one up to Pierpont (the family cabin at the beach in Ventura) and was trying to play it. Dick picked it up and has been playing it ever since. Dick also brought out a ukelele that had been his fathers. Wow!

Great pictures. I hadn't heard the ukele stories.
